and they are going to give information in the next few weeks? Not helpful. I will be on a plane that day and if it slows me down so be it, but this is kind of like vaguebooking.

The fact is that the women's march took place IN SPITE OF the people running it. Ours (Seattle) had at least five times the people anticipated. The "program" they had (24 speakers) was not attended to. There was nothing going on at the end of the march at the Seattle Center, even though they'd promised music and such. I emailed the national organizers several times about purposely excluding Hillary's name from the list of women that inspired the march, and that was roundly ignored.

Frankly, I think it was a one-time, fairly spontaneous occurrence, and while the idea of a women's strike (or immigrant strike, or any strike) is powerful and I would support it, this amorphous announcement is not doing it for me. If flight attendants are included and my travel plans are affected, I'll go with it, but this needs more planning and focus.
