"Not as far as I know" is a lie

Trump's response to the question of whether any of his campaign officials had contact with the Kremlin during the election was "Not as far as I know." His response was a lie because we know Trump was briefed on contacts between his campaign staffers and Russian intelligence operatives. The usual hedge "not as far as I know" is contradicted by reports that have been public for two days now.

It sounds more like Trump is looking to distance himself from any fallout. Does he not realize that as the President, he is responsible for everything his team handles? Or mishandles?

I write regular comments to local newspapers. Trump has made it so easy to attack the conservative voters who pretend to be so smart.

The reports are FAKE, the news is FAKE, the briefings were FAKE

so none of that matters

HE controls the truth HE chooses to believe. So as far as HE knows...
