Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsWe now have a demonstrable and compelling case for demanding to see Trump's tax returns.
No longer can he put us off, saying they are not relevant, or that the American public has no business seeing his personal business. And if he says the American public doesn't care, he cannot ignore the fact that American Intelligence deeply cares.
Can a Senate investigative committee use the potential collusion between Russia and the Trump team to subpoena the returns? Can anyone compel him to release them? Even in a closed-door session?
If they show what we suspect, he will NEVER release them of his own will. He must be compelled. There should be some power that can, for the good of the nation, investigate these returns and Trump's possible Russian connection.

IMO, the IC already has the returns. If the NSA can't get them in a heartbeat, they don't exist.

US law allows Congress to obtain any person's tax return. Republicons explicitly refused to apply it

And there's plenty of justification for the NSA/CIA to have them.
