The silver lining in all this chaos? Trump is inadvertently reshaping our media

--snip--
NO TILT'

To win over advertisers and readers' trust, The Wall Street Journal ran ads online and in print during the election. One featured a pin ball machine with the tagline, "No Tilt. Campaign coverage that's on the level."

The paper has run ads after the election to highlight its content as "created, curated and checked in a real newsroom."

The New York Times, which is focused on increasing its subscriber revenue, in January launched its "Truth" campaign consisting of online ads urging readers to sign up because, "Truth. It needs your support."

The newspaper sees an opportunity in making sure readers understand that it is fair and accurate and plans to launch another marketing campaign in coming weeks, Chief Executive Officer Mark Thompson said on the company's last earnings call.

This is just the "tear 'em down" phase of the familiar narrative that starts with the "build 'em up" phase.

As for truth and integrity, they're just protecting their reputation from donnie's lies.

Gollum falls into the pit with it? Clearly, they would never do this on their own. They needed to be prodded by cheeto.

Whatever it takes to get the media to stand up straight. What stands out for me is they are slowly recognizing that there is a market (key word) for true journalism with integrity.

revert to form for a pence dictatorship. "thank goodness he knows how to string a sentence together and not exhibit psychological defects while he takes individual liberties away and completely ignores democrats and the will of the majority of the people."

Afterall, that is why they propped up cheeto through the primaries. He was making them money.

But with the increase in the number of digital subscriptions, they are seeing there is a market. They saw the #'s from the women's march too. It all adds up. There is money to be made from us too.
