That's a rhetorical question. He can call it whatever he wants, as irritating as that may be - other presidents have used the same terminology for their personal residences. I don't like it either but there's plenty of other stuff to hate a whole lot more.

I don't recall a president coining the nickname himself before. But in any case, even if Trump hadn't done it the media would have come up with their own names, and one would stick. I wouldn't lose any sleep over this.

OTOH, Jimmy Carter didn't have an "alternate White House," nor did Bill Clinton or Barack Obama. So it seems to be a Republican tic.
