Panelist On AM Joy Says Dean Endorses Pete Buttigieg

Don't have a link to that exact statement but there's this...

“Still, Democratic observers, including former DNC Chair Howard Dean, have said that Mr. Perez and Mr. Ellison are “both handicapped by being perceived rightly or wrongly as other people’s candidates” and that hurts them in an election where voters are likely looking for an outsider.

“The wild card is Pete Buttigieg,” Mr. Dean told Prospect Magazine this week. “He’s an outsider, he’s very young, he’s a vet who served two tours in Afghanistan, and openly gay — he checks a lot of boxes. And he turns out to be a really good organizer. “

of opportunities to let red counties know exactly how Trump and the Republicans are screwing them in real time.

I never followed this DNC election process before. Does it always take this much putzing around?

And he came across really well. It would be meteoric if he won this race.

I'm pulling for Ellison because he's my Congressman and he's tough and determined and a great organizer (though I'd hate to loose him as my Congressman). But I'd be fine with Perez. What little I know of that other guy I read on Wikipedia, and it seems like maybe he doesn't have enough much national experience. He might be OK, though.

though at least Mayor of Fort Bend isn't like a Congress person who has to vote on national issues he does have to take sides on local and even Indiana state issues. I also think the DNC should be a full time job especially now. That said, he does have good qualities and we could do worse to be sure.

Perhaps he knows how to get a toe hole in a red state which can only be seen as a plus.
