Nice to have a nice day; not so nice to think about July & August.

(15,859 posts)Last weeks feet of snow are going almost as fast as they came. I can actually see grass in my yard. Just a little, but I'll take it!

(50,303 posts)I'm hoping enough snow melts so I can get to my little greenhouse and check on lettuce I planted in the fall.

If your forecast is anything like ours, you'll be at your greenhouse in no time. 😀
We go to Westmoreland every summer to visit friends. I just love it over there.

(15,859 posts)I'd love to hear how it works out. I've failed at lettuce repeatedly. Too bitter. Planting in fall seems like the perfect way to avoid that.

The weather down here in the South is supposed to be:
Feb-April is tornado season
June to Nov is hurricane season
dec thru Feb is winter, and then it warms up

(86,005 posts)...my wife told me they were blooming, and I had to see for myself.
Sure enough, the minis, it looks like, are doing their thing. It must be a real hardy variety, or maybe the leaves I keep in place gave them enough protection.
