There is a sinister organization that is trying to warp its way into our ranks, said Dan Schneider, the executive director of the American Conservative Union, which runs CPAC. We must not be deceived by [a] hateful, left-wing fascist group.
Over a few confusing minutes, Schneider argued that the alt-right, a term coined then popularized by the National Policy Institutes Richard Spencer, was philosophically left-wing because it departed from his definition of conservatism, in which the individual is sovereign.
They hate the Constitution. They hate free markets. They hate pluralism, Schneider said. Fascists tend to want big government control.

Oh, do not go there, you fucking assholes. They are *YOUR* problem, not ours. *YOURS*. Get that right. See? They're so batshit crazy that they're blaming us for their problem, like they always do. Argh!!!!

(599 posts)Fascism is a right-wing ideology. The CPAC scum know this, but they're expecting the non-political types and low-information voters not to know this. And they know the news media will not point out their lies.

... "We're the platform for the alt-right," Bannon told me proudly when I interviewed him at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in July. Though disavowed by every other major conservative news outlet, the alt-right has been Bannon's target audience ever since he took over Breitbart News from its late founder, Andrew Breitbart, four years ago. Under Bannon's leadership, the site has plunged into the fever swamps of conservatism ...

His book ... Liberal Fascism: The Secret History of the American Left, From Mussolini to the Politics of Change ... was the first I remember seeing CONservatives trying to pin Fascism on the left, and they've been trying for nearly a decade now.

It's a start though.
