Statement From NPR's SVP Of News Mike Oreskes on White House Access

Access to government information and briefings is not a political favor to be handed out to friends and denied to supposed enemies.

The administration should work with the White House Correspondents Association to assure that any restrictions on access for journalists are for clear logistical or space reasons and agreed upon in advance.

Michael Oreskes is NPR's Senior Vice President of News and Editorial Director
