(58,737 posts)We won the military part of the wars, kind of easily actually. No disrespect to the actual combat soldiers who did the real fighting, but the overall campaign (especially Iraq) was a cake walk compared to past wars.
We lost the POLITICAL battle after the fighting part of the war was over. We lost the peace, not the actual war. And that was don by Neo-con Republicans who "knew more than the generals" about how to conduct such operations.
Gonna be a bumpy ride. I live in the major US city closest to North Korea. I just love it when Trump taunts Kim Jong Un.
I suppose any Boeing contracts will help the local economy, but the immigration and trade bullshit will nullify that, I'm sure.

The truth of the matter is we are at far greater danger from the gun-crazed lunatics roaming the streets ready to shoot anyone they deem to be unlawfully in the United States. Spend all that money taking millions of guns off our streets not expanding an already bloated military.
