Democrats should stay out of the deep weeds.

The Trump scandal is simply too large and too complex for the average person to understand. It must be broken down to the lowest common denominator.

The sad fact is that we have an unstable person in charge of our government. After the attempts to hack our elections in November, we cannot assume that there is not a national security threat in our nation's capitol.

As citizens, and yes, as patriots, we must be very vigilant as to what is happening to our country. We must ask for an independent investigation. There is too much partisanship, at this time, for either Party to feel like they are getting a fair shake.

If we were a united country, we would all agree that we want to do whatever it takes to defend our country from both, a foreign and domestic threat.

This entire argument is about our national security. We need all our citizens to be involved, regardless of political Party.

We believe Jefferson was right, "Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty".

Iran/ Contra was too hard to understand.

1. Even an idiot can understand that it appears milutiple members of Trump's campaign met with representatives of the Russian government in secret at the same time that Russia was trying to hurt Hillary Clinton's campaign and LIED ABOUT IT!

2. Trump has trashed almost every leader of rock solid allies of the USA, yet constantly praises a former KGB agent who is president of Russia in Putin.

3. Many prominent leaders in the GOP who love to investigate ANYTHING a Democrat does, refuse to investigate a scandal potentially much bigger than Watergate.

A 7th grader can understand that something big is going on!

They're deluded into thinking that they can control Bannon and Trump. They won't. The GOP was a means to an end for Bannon and Trump. That the GOP keep themselves in their fantasy state requires unparalleled commitment.

Trump will dispose of Congress at the first opportunity. He and Bannon consider Congress to be a terribly inefficient and flawed political body. If they feel pressure to conform to traditional strictures, they'll start a war, declare a national emergency, and impose martial law. It's only three short steps, and then we'll be in perpetual war but have no civil rights. The GOP thinks that this sequence is not an option. Bannon is in power to EXERCISE THAT OPTION! And the GOP is lounging around eating post-election bonbons.

that there was a report this very day that there were twenty aircraft that hit Yemen yesterday. Ten of those were drones. So, it is already beginning to look like some young men are going to die in Mr Trump's wars? He seems to like it already.

The more complex, the easier it is to create ambiguity. I would expect an argument that it's not much different from the timing of the 2008 melt down (conspiracy theories abound) or the leak on Gary Hart's affair.

Another simple argument that I have already heard regarding Tillerson's appointment that it is in our interest to have a good relationship with Russia.

This is going to be tough. People understand proven criminality, like a robbery or perjury. Politicians know that difficult to mount a stellar attack against behavior the is unethical but not criminal and not exceedingly unusual. I hope they can find a simplisticly convincing line of attack, but unfortunately US citizens have a very high tolerance for scandals.
