Until I hear audio or see video of Trump speaking with Putin...

I'm getting close to being done with all of this bullshit. Louise so and so says this...Rachel Maddow says that...Malcolm Nance pontificates. I'm not knocking individuals and their reporting at all. I just can't handle sitting here hitting refresh to see who is saying what all the time. I hear all of this intel is going to drop...but it doesn't. Then you read the FBI isn't cooperating with the Senate and House Intel inquiries.

Ugg. Fed up. Show me the fucking tapes.

Clearly the evidence is there .. but we do not have a functioning justice system
to put it out there and bring the traitors to trial.

I think it's good, at the least, to know exactly what the truth is, whether or not
it results in right action from Congress or the DOJ.

A strong grass roots movement might push it to a right conclusion in the end.

That the press has the information to bring this to an abrupt end, but won't until they can get optimum drama from it.

Watch the tape of Franken questioning Sessions, Franken asked the questions like he knew the answers. It looked to me like he knew that Sessions had communicated with the Russians. It looks like a set up. It didn't take them long to come up with contact after he made the statement.

It's probably a bit 'tinfoil Hatty' but all of this Russia stuff has to be good for ratings, and there are some players out there that seem to know how this thing is gonna end already, and yet we have this drip, drip, drip.

We know that trump was bailed out by the Russians with a real estate deal, we know who all of the players are. We know that there was communication with the Russians. Trump even put his plan to work with the Russians to fight ISIS on the back burner.

Part of the problem is that the story takes more time to tell than the attention span of too many Americans, so it has to come out slow enough that they can keep up.

This isn't for the weak of heart or spirit - it's going to take a while for this to all get investigated etc ( Watergate took a long time too to get to the point where hearings occurred ). I DO think something is there - there's just TOO much and too many coincidences for there not to be something up. He will get whats coming to him. Then, maybe Melania will divorce him -- you just know she wanted to but then he went and won the election.

these leaked reports about who knows who and who talked to whom, various stories about whether there were warrants or not, so far they have STILL found NO evidence of collusion.

SEN. CHRIS COONS (D-DE): What I was trying to make clear, Chris, and I appreciate a chance to restate this, is that I don't have, and I don't know of, any conclusive proof one way or the other about whether there was collusion between senior levels of the Trump campaign and Russian official...

COONS: Chris, I have no hard evidence of collusion

there were various reports about them, very specific details, how they tied trump et. al. to all the Russians, etc.
Wiretaps of Flynn, intelligence reports of wiretapped conversations (still with no evidence of wrong doing BTW), blah blah blah.

And today? Clapper - 'there were NO FISA warrants associated with the trump team, tower, etc.'

I wasn't old enough for Watergate but it seems like people believe it happened over the course of a few weeks when in reality Nixon's downfall took years.

The same applies here and even if there is never a Nixonian downfall I like the idea that he is being kept constantly on the defensive and under seige. He doesn't like it, it makes him uncomfortable, and it damages him politically in the long term.

This is a win win if you hate Trump no matter how it ends.

However, there was an actual crime (the break-in). A few months later, one of the defendants laid the blame directly at Nixon. There were also the Pentagon Papers and Nixon's attempt to break into Daniel Ellsberg's psychiatrist office. Everyone was pretty repulsed by that one. More so than Watergate. Nixon handled the investigations poorly which snowballed everything and got him in a bunch of legal trouble.

So, there were 3 things that brought him down.

There needs to be a smoking gun. If and when there is, I don't think Trump will handle it well.

the WaPo or the NYT. Otherwise, it's just the same kind of wishful thinking as occurred during the Clinton witch hunt.

Oh, they've been outed on some lies, like the way Sessions met with the Russian ambassador more than once when there was no reason for him to have done so unless he was up to something. Levin's claim in Breitbart about Obama bothering to use the government to wiretap Dolt45's campaign is already being laughed at by rational people and Asshole is being laughed at for believing it.

Other than that, the cult of secrecy in DC has insured that me and thee are seeing no real news about this bunch except Dopey's Twitter addiction, something of dubious worth.

No real shoes have dropped and none will start to drop until and unless charges are filed. Or in another 50 years when all the current players have gone to their eternal rewards in their soft beds.

Was James Clapper today say "there was no evidence of any collusion between Trump campaign and the Russian's"
Now as director of DNI leading an investigation from October till January if they entire FBI,CIA and NSA could not come up with anything there maybe nothing there.

I was glad to see this thread. I as a former Intelligence Specialist myself have been looking for facts and all I see is hearsay and no hard facts or specific allegations. I know the agencies above very well and have a close family member that is working for one right now. To quote a wise old woman "Where's the Beef?" If they had anything solid it wouldn't be hidden at this point.

Before you can't hear anything else.
My state's AG is now actively gutting the EPA and that can't be heard because Russia.
A fucktard is in charge of the Department of Education and that can't be heard because Russia.
Congress will repeal the Affordable Care Act and all we will hear is Russia.

You better pray they have something solid or this will provide cover for some nastiness and we will take another hit in the mid terms.

I'm not saying stop looking or investigating but until something solid comes along it doesn't need to be so loud.

I was so ecstatic to have a chance to relax once Hillary won the election and all of the Trump theatrics and pussy-grabbing shit stopped. Didn't happen, and now here I am in freaking March still losing my mind trying to follow the election bullshit that never ends. I honestly need to stop. It's harming my health to keep getting my hopes dashed like this. This election was deeply personal to me, and I feel like I can't feel okay again until I see Trump punished for all of the unjust stuff he pulled, but it's probably best just to stop following it all because we have a government right now that frankly doesn't care if women (and other groups) are personally hurt seeing this man in power.

It would be great if it were as simple as Trump meets Putin at a well lit ATM in clear view of seven security cameras Which capture the conversation and monetary exchange in a single 15 minute interaction.
But it will be more like Trump told two friends.. and they told two Russians and they told a brit who told his sister who whispered the message in Vlad's ear While..... well you get the idea...

The purpose of conspiring/ colluding is to avoid direct communication between the head honchos involved....

, why the hell else would anyone involve umpteen additional people--
all of which will have to be sufficiently compensated or permanently eliminated in order to ensure their silence in the future--
If it was not absolutely crucial to the process???

Clapper can say whatever the f"ck he wants... and it may be the truth as he knows it...
however, every day more communication is received from foreign agencies ...
and it has to be authenticated, evaluated , transcribed,
then integrated by time date location into the various strands of data already in hand...
or.labeled & set aside .

Any new information has the potential to bring forth new knowledge...
then all existing intel has to be reevaluated in light of the newly acquired insight/context....

Communications that appeared innocent and unrelated yesterday
may be re-evaluated next week based on knowledge gained tomorrow--
and as a result be found relevant and indicative of a conspiratorial or collusive interaction....

It is more likely that a RICO case will be made before an election related collusion case will be... but part of the RICO "acts" will be those which were election related transactions ....
