Congratulations to Mayor Garcetti. This is what a mandate looks like

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti (D) and all eight city council representatives up for re-election on Tuesday won their races outright, avoiding the need to participate in a runoff election, according to partial returns. Garcetti won re-election in a landslide, earning more than 80 percent of the vote against 10 opponents, with half the votes counted. He spent more than $3 million on his campaign, despite facing no big-name challengers, seeking what the Los Angeles Times calls "a solid affirmation of hometown support for a potential run for higher office."

Live in the same town dump visits every weekend. Slight liberal majority here and even the more wealthy GOPers hate dump. No class.

Should have moved there years and years ago.

For the weather if nothing else. If the elections in '18 don't indicate a much more progressive agenda on the rise, I may have to make that move.

Better late than never.

Larry Hogan will be re-elected. Can't say for sure, but he's fairly popular. It depends on who the Dems nominate. We nominated the wrond Democrat in 2014. Brown had no chance, even in blue Maryland, that year. So in 12 years Maryland had the chance to elect the first female governor, Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, and didn't and it's first AA, and didn't. Add to the fact Larry "who" Hogan was not very well known. This state isn't as blue, or as liberal, as one might think.
