...and I'm too lazy to go find it again to post here, but I read it yesterday...is the idea that a lot of what is in his plan is "time released," so that the truly devastating impacts won't hit until Paulie is most likely retired.

If he could do this and fully own it, there would perhaps be fewer Republicans speaking out on this. But this is going to be the stone around the neck of future Republicans, as his "phased" approach gets worse with every passing year.

He's planning on ramming this through with "reconciliation" in the house. Then we'll see how many Republican men and women of "principle" there are in the Senate to kill it.

I've said it 100 times on DU.

Paul Ryan is doing nothing new, nothing we haven't known about since the Primaries (and all of his failed attempts to do the same thing during the Obama administration).

People (not DU people) just didn't listen, just didn't pay attention.

And Ryan is a snake. Ryan is worse than Trump will ever be. He has an agenda. And he will keep trying to push that agenda through as many times as he thinks he needs to in order to make it a reality.

He discovered Ayn Rand and it set the tone for his life.

Trump voters were focused on those red hats and jobs, jobs, jobs and the big, beautiful wall and banning Muslims and they wrote everything else off as "fake news."

That's how we got to this point. Also with a little help from the Kremlin.
