(31,112 posts)the GOP, if you watch Fox News, you are supporting your own death or at a minimum your own bankruptcy.
That they would show such a stat is one thing, that millions of idiots who are 5 or 6 paychecks from homelessness are nodding in agreement about how spoiled we are, THAT is the remarkable thing.

(58,785 posts)be proud of, sort of, not exactly extremely, but I'm not kidding either. Most poor kids may not have optimal nutrition, yet they're growing up mostly strong and healthy, ready to take on life, anyway.
Do the schmucks this stuff appeals to really think poverty should be living under shrubs on highway right-of-ways? Sheltering their children in cardboard boxes? Those children too weak from rickets and pellagra to attend school?
And what would they do about it then? Or, I should of course ask, what are they doing about it now?

Space for storage, food preparation and serving
Facilities and services for food waste disposal
At least one window in living and sleeping rooms
A working light fixture in the bathroom and kitchen
At minimum of two electric outlets in the kitchen, living room and each bedroom
Adequate air circulation
Free from dangerous levels of sewer gas, carbon monoxide, dust, fuel gas and other harmful air pollutants
A flush toilet
A fixed tub or shower with hot and cold running water
A fixed basin with hot and cold running water
A kitchen, living room, bathroom and at least one bedroom or a living-sleeping room

Only the truly homeless would meet the low bar Republicans set for people they deem unworthy of even the most basic necessities.

I wonder how many keep all of their uncanned food in the fridge to keep roaches or rats out of it because they live in slums?
