1. Relax. Not gonna happen.

They need 33 states to even get together, and then even if they agree on something to change, it takes 38 states to ratify. That means you need 38 states where the legislatures usually have to pass with super-majority margins. Not gonna happen. Better to concentrate on getting the National Popular Vote compact passed so we can never lose the presidency again, as the popular vote margin can only grow on our part.

And we were also told to relax, that Trump could never win the election.

Money talks, and the 1% have most of the money.

Keep our shit together in the midterms, and get back democratic governors/majorities in the blue states, and we will actually be fine.

I can't imagine the outcome of a CC with the group of radical melon heads currently in DC. They are a far cry from our founding fathers in every category imaginable.

situation. Besides, no need for a CC when a party controls congress and the WH (Supreme Court soon). The R's can and probably will inflict damage with this current administration without the hassle of calling a CC.

Dem leadership has focused too much on the national level & not enough on the state level. That's why the country is a sea of red. The GOP 'won' by hook & crook & they will do it again. Rules mean nothing to them. Ruling does. The dems will play by the rules & reach across the aisle & America will get fucked. Again.

There are 25 states that at totally Republican controlled and with today's insane politics I don't put anything out of possibility.
We live in depressingly interesting times.

state legislatures are focusing on locally popular issues...in Wisconsin's case it's a balanced budget, but elsewhere it might be restricting abortion is something else. If enough states vote to convene a Constitutional convention, we are done for. The chaos that would ensue would make our current crisis look like a sensible and measured agenda.

Because you know who would change the constitution? It's the corporate criminals and the clergy, this is their wet dream.
