So it can't be about NRA money, or ratings. I think they are wholly-owned lifetime subsidiaries of the NRA.

Ex-legislators need lobbying jobs and the NRA is dripping with reich-wing money. Most ex-Congressmen, with the exception of Liberals, are worthless and have only enough talent to man the fry-pit at Mickey D's.

10. You're assuming they're all NRA stooges. Might they disagree with Holder on the merits?

Clearly Congress has (and should have) the power to obtain information about government actions. Clearly there is some legitimate restriction on that power so as to protect executive privilege. The latter point was perhaps clearer to Republicans when the executive was a Republican -- but, to be fair, Democrats back then were probably less enthusiastic about executive privilege than they are now.

I haven't followed the details of this one. I don't know whether the claim of privilege is obviously reasonable, obviously overbroad, or in a gray area. All I know is that throwing rocks at the NRA doesn't address that underlying question.

What an astounding display of ignorance of the real facts. He kept harping on Holder's "refusal to provide documents".

Not one mention of the NRA scoring or the "Obama's out to get your guns" craziness. Not to mention the fact that the guns weren't "allowed to walk". Law enforcement was powerless to STOP the guns from walking.
