19 times Trump called jobs numbers fake before they made him look goodBy Christopher Ingraham March 10 at 4:49 PM
We may assume President Trump is quite pleased with the strong jobs report from his first full month in office: He retweeted the Drudge Report's triumphant GREAT AGAIN framing of the numbers Friday morning, after touting employment figures released by payroll firm ADP earlier in the week.
Not so long ago, however, Trump's view of the monthly jobs report, which comes courtesy of the nonpartisan federal Bureau of Labor Statistics, was markedly different. As recently as December, he described the report as totally fiction.
If there was any argument over whether Trump was flip-flopping on the jobs report at the precise moment it reflected positively on him, White House press secretary Sean Spicer laid it to rest Friday afternoon, telling reporters: I talked to the president prior to this, and he said to quote him very clearly: 'They may have been phony in the past, but its very real now.'
Let's take a walk down memory lane and remember a few times Trump trashed the jobs numbers as fake, incomplete or something other than the right way to determine whether America had been made great again.

That speech was why I was shocked Mitt met with him after the election, presumably for the SoS job. Suck-up artist, that one is.

(4,533 posts)Trump said the real unemployment rate under Obamacare was huge but that now it is low. That means tens of millions of new employees have recently started working. If this is true then the revenues of payroll service companies such as ADP will explode upwards and their profits will explode upwards. So their financial statements will prove Trump is a liar. Also payroll tax receipts will explode up. When Trump's budget reports show minimal increase in payroll tax receipts that will also prove Trump lied.
I am disappointed that the phony claims of conservatives aren't regularly disproven with available numbers. Example: some conservatives claim the number of illegals in the US is actually 30 million, not 11 million. Yet death certificates report the percentage of the dead who are Hispanic is as the 11 million figure, adjusted for age, implies. That means conservatives propose that the typical illegal in the US has an expected life span of more than 250 years. These illegals are incredibly healthy!

(28,270 posts)Trump will crash the economy just like Bush did, count on that. (Unless you are a 1%er anyway)
Dump may even take us into another great depression seeing as how it would serve his and the republican party's fascist political goals.
