I think it's time we accept the fact that the Republicans will NEVER investigate Trump.

Okay, fine. I accept it.

Now it's a major issue for 2018 and one I think we can win with.

Not only that, but it comes with the added benefit of knowing in all likelihood that should the Democrats take back the House or the Senate (we only need one) in 2018, Trump will not be able to withstand the pressure of endless investigations by Congress and will resign.

So at least we've got that going for us.

Agreed, though they may pretend to investigate him, which could be worse. NT enough Mar 2017 #1

You're making a HUGE assumption -- that we'll even have fair elections in 2018 or the future. woodsprite Mar 2017 #6

Trump better hope the Democrats never take control of Congress. I'm feeling optimistic that that just may, will, happen in 2018. Turnaround, as they say, is FairPlay. On 9NOVEMBER2016 I didn't think it would be possible. Now I'm more sure than ever we take both Houses. 😊's for (D's) & 🤢's (R's).

Democrats are trying, but Republicans are corrupt to the core and frankly mock the concept. The only hope was a special prosecutor, perhaps why Sessions' recusal was a concern, but Dana Boente has shown no interest. Why? Dunno. I hope Maddow devotes some air time because its beyond me.

My other hope is a European based intelligence agency starts leaking info. Its in their self-interests. Very frustrating, but hopefully it will motivate dems to win the house back.

Two can play that game. Unfortunately, Democrats are not good at negotiating.

Given our nation's political history from Reagan forward, I'm dumbfounded that democrats truly believed republicans would investigate Trump. It truly boggles my mind.

If he thinks his ass will end up in a sling, he will 'invite' Russia to interfere again - as if by then, they'll even need an 'invitation'.

We're screwed. There seems to be very few people who are in any position of power who care to fulfill their legal and moral responsibility. The stupid-ass morons who voted for him, will probably vote for him again, saying 'we didn't give him a chance.' I'm allowed to call them stupid-ass morons because I'm related to some of them.
