Pat McCrory says HB2 is making it harder for him to get a job

Former Gov. Pat McCrory says the backlash against House Bill 2 is making it difficult for him to land a new job after he left office.

McCrory has been appearing frequently on national media outlets to defend the controversial LGBT law, but he hasn’t announced what’s next for his career. In a podcast interview recently with WORLD, an Asheville-based evangelical Christian news website, McCrory talked about his challenges on the job market.

The former Republican governor says HB2 “has impacted me to this day, even after I left office. People are reluctant to hire me, because, ‘oh my gosh, he’s a bigot’ – which is the last thing I am.”

Later in the interview, McCrory wouldn’t say if he’s being considered for a job in President Donald Trump’s administration. But he praised Trump, calling him “a breath of fresh air.”

McCrory said the liberal groups opposing HB2 have harmed his reputation. “If you disagree with the politically correct thought police on this new definition of gender, you’re a bigot, you’re the worst of evil,” he said. “It’s almost as if I broke a law.”

Podcast host Warren Cole Smith also asked McCrory if he plans to run for governor in 2020.

“I loved the job, and I would never rule out running again,” McCrory said. “I’ve got to ask my wife. I don’t know what my feeling will be two or three years from now. If I do decide to run, it will be curious if the conservatives stick with me.”

foreign workers. I wondered if he was trying to get a job as a field hand. But of course, the bigot bill. I hope he gets shuffled off into the back corners of history.

hellhole town he grew up in. Or he can get an online ordination and try televangelism, one of the few places bigotry like his is still welcomed with open arms and closed minds.

I wish him a rapid journey to the scrapheap of history.

But I really hope that something really bad happens to Pat McCrory after all the people he made suffer with HB-2. Fuck that guy.

16. Maybe signing an EXTREMELY bigoted law was a bad idea...?

Hey McCrory, you rudderless wreck; maybe if people thinking you were anything but a bigot was important to you, you might have vetoed an awful, ridiculous, utterly bigoted law?!?!

Go founder on a rock, you worthless shell of a human being.
