We love you Obama - diner at restaurant where the Obamas lunched with Bono and his daughter

Since leaving the White House, Barack Obama has developed a knack for attracting applause everywhere he goes.

The latest example took place in Upland restaurant on Park Avenue in New York. Diners took pictures of the former US president and his and Michelle Obama as they had lunch with Bono and his 27-year-old tech entrepreneur daughter, Jordan Hewson.

One of the restaurant’s customers was captured on video shouting “We love you Obama!”, and the whole restaurant got on their feet and applauded the couple as they left, according to People magazine.

This is by no means the first time Obama and the activist musician have crossed paths. Official White House photographer Pete Souza recently shared a photo of Bono singing to Obama during a visit in 2011. He invited Bono and Alicia Keys to the White House for a lunch at the White House in 2011.

According to Souza, Bono picked up a guitar and played a little of the Beatles’ “Norwegian Wood” for the president - who couldn’t resist turning to his photographer and asking, “How cool is this?”

Former President Barack Obama stopped off in Omaha , Nebraska , Sunday to meet with billionaire investor Warren Buffett , the Omaha World-Herald reports.

Obama had lunch with Warren and Susie Buffett, an unannounced visit that involved no press corps. There's no official word on what the former president discussed with the Buffetts.

"I'm not going to talk about the meeting," Susie Buffett told the Omaha World-Herald. "The three of us ate lunch."

Mr. pig and I went to the Oakland Coliseum/Arena/whatever corporate name it had to watch Barack Obama's inauguration with 12,000 others.

I've never seen in my life a president who has conducted his life with such dignity and compassion.

To go from a person of his stature to the buffoon now squatting in the Oval Office boggles the mind.

I watched it on tv, all of it. I am a long time supporter, and he never let me down as a cool, compassionate, intelligent human being who thinks before he acts and really did try to have everyone's interests at heart.

I miss that.

We did, really.

History will judge Obama as the great man he is. It just makes it all the more deplorable that so many people put bigotry and party (cough-R-cough) ahead of the greater good of humanity.
