Drone Shootdown Legislation Protects Corrupt US Senator

Published on Mar 13, 2017

Oklahoma State Senator Ralph Shortey has introduced legislation to allow the legal shootdown of drones over private property in Oklahoma. Mr. Shortey specifically noted a 2015 incident when a drone owned by Showing Animals Respect and Kindness (SHARK) was shot down while filming a cruel and illegal live pigeon shoot political fundraiser held by Oklahoma US Senator Jim Inhofe.

Senator Shortey’s legislation is not designed for the public interest. He doesn't want to right a wrong, he wants to perpetuate it. Misusing state law to help a Senator raise federal campaign cash is a disgraceful violation of the public trust.

They regulate all US airspace and if you shoot down a drone it's a violation of Federal regulations. These would supersede any state law.
