Fox News is the catalist of the conservative movement. The Republicans are terrified America is at a tipping point. And it is tipping.

Lying in wait for the perfect opportunity to spring Trump's 2005 tax return on us.

Too many of y'all are acting like Watergate was one big reveal. It took months of rigorous and boring reporting. Journalism takes time.

Comcast which owns NBC universal is not interested in pushing a progressive agenda. Now that Trump's Russia connection is a ratings hit, MSNBC execs are likely going to hype the crap out of it. I think Maddow is truthful, but her and O'Donnel's tweets were factually untrue and way overblown. Maybe execs smelled a ratings opportunity and encouraged it.

but tonight she might have gone overboard.. In the end the only thing she did was reveal that Trump paid a 25% tax rate on his 2005 returns.. Sooooooooooooooo? And there is the possibility that Trump’s camp leaked this particular return..though

She is a TV personality who wants high ratings and acts accordingly.

If she was "earnest to a fault" she would not have hyped the program last night the way that she did. A person who is "earnest to a fault' would have tweeted:

Got 2 pages from the 2005 tax return. Doesn't show much, but raises larger questions.

As opposed to

BREAKING: We've got Trump tax returns. Tonight, 9pm ET. MSNBC.

(Seriously).

And then having a "Countdown Clock" throughout the show prior to hers.

The latter tweet is from a person whose primary goal is to get people to watch her television show at 9PM on MSNBC (not that there's anything wrong with that).

She teweeted they had his "tax returns", plural, knowing they didn't have multiple returns but had only a tiny part of one return.

It was a dishonest move intended to created buzz and boost viewership.

But it was still dishonest. They didn't have multiple returns. They didn't even have all of one return.

It's her pattern or teasing a story to be big when it isn't just like we saw over and over during the campaign. How many times was it that the next show was where she would destroy Trump with a new revelation where we tuned in only to see her rehash the same stuff we already knew and act like her putting it all in a neat package was groundbreaking?

I'm done being led on and disappointed by her exaggeration and grandstanding in promos for her shows that exaggerate like this. When she wants to do her show like the target audience is the smarter more progressive crowd that it is and treat us that was I'll watch again. If she wants to keep promoting it and acting like we are all a bunch of mouth breathing morons no smarter than Fox viewers who won't notice when her big tease was nothing but promotion with no substance then I'm done.

I said that before on here I know , but like a fool I let this tax return thing get me when I should have known it was nothing, even canceling plans to stay in and watch and just be let down again a

Shame, Racheal. Your viewers are smarter than you give them credit for and deserve better treatment and honest journalism without the exaggerations and dishonest self promotion.

I agree she should have handled it as you noted.

But, she was clearly jittery at the start, IMO, the taxes have been such a big deal they are larger than life, and she got swept up in that.

She's a good egg for sure, but human.
