(31,980 posts)It helps to have someone watch who can give insight into what the Fox addicts are seeing/hearing. This is why he will always have a 22% approval rating as a minimum. Those idiots who MUST not hear anything but good about Trump - this is what they see and understand.

(14,926 posts)"David Folkenflik, the NPR media correspondent and author of Murdochs World, recently revealed a little-noticed feature of Fox News afternoon opinion panel The Five. Its called the leg cam, and its exactly what it sounds like.
........
Theres a camera that they have, and what they do Im told this is absolutely true they sort of sort the women they have by the degree of attractiveness, and particularly the degree of attractiveness of the legs. I believe its the seat on the front right where, having arranged this hierarchy, they put the woman with the best legs there and they have a camera that goes directly for the legs. And so essentially they have what they call the leg cam, and that is to accentuate the sleekness and design of that particular person on-air.
Yesterdays episode of The Five, with Andrea Tantaros in the leg seat, seemed to confirm Folkenfliks account. Witness:
As did Wednesdays episode, when Kimberly Guilfoyle occupied the same chair:
Fox News has a history of emphasizing female legs. This is Fox News, an insider told Roger Ailes biographer Gabriel Sherman last year, following Karl Roves on-air election-night meltdown. So anytime theres a chance to show off Megyn Kelly's legs theyll go for it. Indeed, Kelly is the only prime-time Fox anchor whose studio desk permits viewers to glimpse her legs. At least Roger Ailes network is consistent."

(5,611 posts)the table looking out. The Fox leg obsession is just so ridiculous, so obvious, and Sad! as the average Fox viewers, white males in their 70s, can't be very bright to be drawn in to RT, oh I mean Fox, by a few pairs of legs. of course Fox, Murdoch, and co are trusting that certain older viewers will tune in to hear "news" and partisan rants that make up 99% of Fox's time, while staring at some shiny-ass legs. Yep, these are the jackasses that gave us Trump. They also gave us Paul Ryan's hideous attacks on the poor and seniors and on entitlements like SSI and Medicare which people have been paying into for decades. I think Fox thinks that these hideous policies sound better when flowing forth from a ding-dong bleach-blonde's glossy-lip mouth.
And yes Kimberly Guilfoyle is pretty much installed in that chair on The Five as Andrea Tantaros left Fox under mysterious circumstances never to be heard from on-air again (it looks like she was part of the lawsuits against superperv Roger Ailes). Kimberly has been in that chair for some time now like an evil queen, like Cersei on the Iron Throne (for the Game of Thrones fans). I am sure you'd find claw and teeth marks on the chair if Fox attempted to replace her with a younger, prettier version, which is pretty much inevitable with Fox. Kimberly, ever the attention-seeker, loves to brag about her "favorite position" as the former First Lady of San Francisco (she LOVES to mention that she was married to Gavin Newsom, who is now Lt. Gov of California and will likely be elected gov). Anyway, sorry to rant about Kimberly!!!!! She (imho) exemplifies the kind of twisted thinking that must be going on in a reasonably intelligent woman's head to justify sitting in the blatantly exploitative "leg chair."
