Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump
What about all of the contact with the Clinton campaign and the Russians? Also, is it true that the DNC would not let the FBI in to look?

(115,924 posts)He's sitting with his legs apart - "manspreading," as it were, to take up more space and look more powerful - and he's leaning slightly backwards to indicate his dislike. Hillary is leaning in a bit (invading his space, symbolically) but with her legs and arms crossed protectively. They are trying to send each other power vibes with their body language. Putin doesn't like Hillary but he's not intimidated by her. Unlike SCROTUS, I don't think that guy intimidates easily.

(25,920 posts)(or never had) kids. And not all of them do that. And if they do, your best move as a parent is to not tolerate that attempt at deflection and make it crystal clear that the behavior you're calling them out on is completely unacceptable.
Generally speaking, if you're consistent about those things, your kids will grow up to be decent human beings. It is so clear that Trump was not only born a flawed human being, but that his parents didn't do a good job of setting limits.

That's an especially tough sell in this case, considering that Putin is known to dislike Hillary intensely because of her criticism of Russia's Parliamentary election and her open support of the protesters when she was SoS. And, of course, SCROTUS has told us over and over that Putin is his BFF.
Dumbass.

(4,421 posts)There are several different propaganda posters that were made to make people believe Stalin was a friend of children. Interesting reading about the horrors of disinformation.
The Littlest Enemies: Children of the Stalinist Era
By Victoria Bird.
The Stalinist era was characterized by extensive terror and repression, with large numbers of the Soviet population living in fear of the knock on the door that could signify arrest, exile, imprisonment or execution. This climate of fear even extended to young children, many of whom were terrified of the day when their parents would disappear. Children who lost their parents as a result of Stalins Terror were affected in a number of different ways. Some were interned in Gulag camps along with their parents; some were deported to live in exile in remote regions with their families and some were forced into Soviet orphanages. Those who were left behind were stigmatized and ostracized, often even by other family members who feared punishment if they were seen to be helping the child of an enemy of the people, so were left to fend for themselves on the city streets. Whatever their ultimate fate, these children all found themselves marginalized, persecuted, rejected and forgotten by mainstream society. Instead their lives became dominated by a daily battle for survival, a battle that sadly many did not win.
Thank You, Dear Comrade Stalin for a Happy Childhood!
Stalinist propaganda worked very hard to present childhood as a happy and positive time. Children were presented as the loyal socialists of the future, and Stalin was portrayed as the little father raising the next generation of new Soviet men and women. Posters showing children praising Stalin were put up everywhere, often including the caption Thank You, Dear Comrade Stalin, for a Happy Childhood, while communist youth groups such as the Young Pioneers (for children aged 9-14) and the Komsomol (ages 14-18) were set up to provide children with a range of extra-curricular activities including parades, theater outings, sporting events and summer camps which many would otherwise not have had access to.
