I never saw one posted but I really want to know who stood with Issa. This had nothing to do with the gun lobby, so no lame excuses.

wasting precious legislative time on the Issa outrage.

The vote was a "motion to table" Sheila Jackson-Lee's condemnation of Issa. It took place on a Friday morning with time running out before a Fourth of July recess.

A motion to table kills debate, instantly. Had hours been wasted on Issa, IMO the House might not have been able to approve the Transportation Conference Report, which approved 3 million construction jobs and prevented a student loan rate hike on Monday.

This is the only explanation that makes sense to me for the votes of Kucinich, Bobby Scott of Virginia, and Mel Watt of NC.

for Holder's contempt citation Thursday (all but Rahall of WV).

See the earlier GD thread at http://www.democraticunderground.com/1002872913 .

The NY Times printed a great graphic for those 17, at URL http://politics.nytimes.com/congress/votes/112/house/2/441 .

I hadn't noticed that the URL is fixed except for the last number field, which is the House Clerk's roll-call number for the vote.

I just got the link on the contempt vote Thursday, from highplainsdem at http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=872988 .
