3 imediate things the ACA has done for me and my household

1. Allows my daughter to stay on our insurance until she has a job with great insurance of her own
(also my nephew that is staying with us can stay on my sister's insurance as well)

2. Ensures that my insurance company can not dump me when I have "maxed" coverage which I probably will in the next 5 years

3. My husband is not locked into a job should he be offered a better position because of insurance

I am sure there is more, but right now, these three are great

what about you?

That will no longer be necessary. Health insurance is important to me, but I also refuse to work for an asshole -- so I paid out the nose to have that freedom. Now people don't have to do that -- at least in 2014.

I don't have to worry about my company going under and having to pay COBRA for the limited amount of time it is offered.

I also believe in some of the provisions in ACA that will incentivize better integrated delivery systems, more primary care physicians, etc.

It's a big improvement. It's a start, but there is a long way to go to get a much better system. At least we have a framework to improve.
