(14,449 posts)It's pretty cheep so far. If they go up to 200 a month then let Medicare pay 90 percent instead of 80 percent so the secondary insurance can be lowered.

(67,782 posts)...United Healthcare just told us that the largest hospital chain in the state is being dropped from their network.
Time to look for an alternate carrier.

(14,449 posts)So many are dropping all over the country. That's what the focus should be. Getting these companies(hospitals) to accept the insurance.

(34,087 posts)The premium will be permitted to be 5x the starting rate, based on age. Subsidies will be decreased.
This will raise the insurance, as an example, frorm the CBO:
But if that person is 64 years old, he would be hurt by the Republican bill. Under Obamacare, he would also pay $1,700 in premiums for insurance. But under the Republican bill, he would pay $14,600 more than half his annual income. That amounts to more than a 750 percent increase in premiums from Obamacare to the Republican bill.

(22,671 posts)And they don't really care for blacks, but keep that to yourself. They don't think of themselves as racists either. They're traditionalists. Repeating and being told that by Fox Snooze, makes them feel great.

(9,897 posts)It is time to employ a new tactic on the country....reverse psychology policies.
I am 100% convinced that a large swath of Republican voters are total frauds. They vote for R's because it makes the liberals and progressives they know apoplectic, full stop. They don't care that it hurts people (including themselves). They don't care that they are being lied to and used as dupes. They don't care that facts or evidence of CBO analysis or global scientific consensus support the completely opposite positions.
They.
Do.
NOT.
Care.
They vote on a binary basis, with only one criteria - "Will this vote piss off liberals who make me feel small because of my own lack of education, understanding or empathy?"
If the answer is "yes", then the vote goes that way...
If the answer is "no", the the vote goes the other.
So, from now on, I am proposing a new Democratic Party platform....we do not *really* want to provide healthcare, clean air, clean water, education and opportunity to all people. We want tax cuts and dying people in the streets and draconian work programs and debtor prisons and privatized social security and no medicare or medicaid.
We want hell on earth and we want it now.
So what do you say my GOP-loving "friends", will you vote with me NOW?
