GOP Believes Will Win In 2018 If They Wreck ACA, Medicare, Social Security, Medicaid & Safety Net.

GOP believes that they have the MSM, control the vote and the counting and billions from the super rich and right wing media and churches to protect them. That they can destroy everything and they cannot lose in 2018. They are emboldened by the fact they rigged and stole the 2016 election and won power.

Plus they believe they can pass extremely strict voter ID agenda that will make it very hard for Democratic supporters to vote. I do believe they have an iron clad hold on permanent power. Otherwise they would not be committing treason and corrupting government so thoroughly. No matter how nuts are crazy Trump is they will protect him.

The country will have to go ballistic to stop them as far as I am concerned. It will take more than resistance. The death care bill is a good example of how far they will go.

In 2020, a different story. Arrogance always has a way to slap you in the face with reality.

and owned healthcare.

But given the hardship that would cause, I can't wish for it.

And as it is, if Obamacare stays in place, they will defund it and sabotage it wherever they can and blame it on the Democrats. And people will believe them.

Sabotage the ACA, show how terrible it is, THEN repeal. They'd had some minor success in that area pre-Trump already.

7. We have to go nuclear on these assholes.

And I don't mean "drop nukes". I mean we have to get our people out and voted into office at every single level. Vote the crooks out. Make Citizens United and the Koch Brothers irrelevant. End gerrymandering. That is the only way we'll be able to win elections. We are experiencing the definition of insanity in this country - doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. The dems build, the GOP knocks it down, they make it worse, and somehow keep getting elected. We need to stop these assholes and we need to stop them now! Or they're going to get us all killed to protect their majority.

The GOP did a number in 2010. They gave themselves quite a cushion with their wins in the national and State governments. However, one thing that you can count on with the GOP is over reach. They want to destroy government's ability to help and stand up for the average citizen/resident so that the wealthy can get more for themselves. Usually there is a not insignificant number of average people who are happy to follow along because they think, as seen on a few posts here, that the GOP is only destroying government for "those people". The problem is that you can't destroy government only for "those people" you either destroy it or don't.

I am not expecting that Trump's hard core supporters will turn on him, but more people voted against Trump and GOP or didn't vote, than voted for him and the GOP. The Democratic Party really needs to step up their activity in mobilizing voters to register and get ID and do what needs to be done to get people to participate. The GOP is counting on low turn out, and they will be working on it. The way we stop them is to not have excuses and get out there and vote.
