Nunes Backs Down From Assertion Trump Was Monitored

The chairman of the House intelligence committee has backed down from his dramatic assertion that Donald Trump and his aides were "monitored," by U.S. spies — a claim the Republicans have cited this week in emails to loyalists.

Rep. Devin Nunes told reporters Friday he can't be sure whether conversations among Trump or his aides were captured in the surveillance that has become a source of controversy since Nunes made it public in two news conferences this week.

"He said he'll have to get all the documents he requested from the (intelligence community) about this before he knows for sure," his spokesman, Jack Langer, said earlier.

Every intelligence official should be saying "Disclose what evidence led you to tweet about that or fuck off. We don't work for you. We're not your private detective agency. I think those guys are still in Hawaii."

Can you imagine how we'd need to do the same shit if he started up that birther garbage again?

Christopher Steele prepared a 35 page Dossier confirming collusion, accurately naming the main parties, motivations, and actions after 6 months of work. It was a blueprint gift to the FBI.

Meanwhile, we're supposed to believe the FBI, NSA, CIA and entire US "intelligence community" can't come up with more than chicken scraps after 9 months?!

Can Trump make collusion any more obvious? His cabinet is made up of the very persons involved. The secretary of state is the goddamn CEO of Exxon who negotiated the oil deal for $500 billion - with Putin officials directly. Roger Stone admitted to directly contacting the Russian hackers and Wikipedia. I could go on and on.

We must get dems in control of the house and start flushing this shit out asap. If Comey, or anyone else, is found holding onto proof of impeachable crimes, put their asses in jail too.

Trump's name was picked up in some communication between a Russian official, we'll call him/her 'the ambassador' and a Trump team member being surveilled with a properly executed FISA warrant we'll call him/her 'Flynn'.

The conversation went like this:

Russian ambassador said "so, Trump is still gonna honor his promise to look away on Crimea"

Flynn responds "a Trump promise can be taken to the bank"

Obviously, I made the conversation up, and obviously the Russians know that a Trump promise is worthless, but you get the idea.

Nothing illegal about the intercepted communication, but the transcript of the conversation is pretty damning.

He's fishing.

But he would like to know... his "boss" needs to know. Maybe the FBI and NSA can verify behind closed doors?
