Christopher Steele (dossier) debriefed the FBI in October!

Trump Russia dossier key claim 'verified'
By Paul Wood BBC News, Washington

...snip

In light of his earlier work, the US intelligence community saw him as "credible" (their highest praise).

...snip

He flew to Rome in August to talk to the FBI.

Then in early October, he came to the US and was extensively debriefed by them, over a week.

He gave the FBI the names of some of his informants, the so-called "key" to the dossier.

I'd love to post more, but don't want to go over the 4 paragraph max. Each paragraph is one sentence, so this is it...

Putin kills people to shut them up, and that probably includes people who have lied for him.

the FBI's progress last summer/ fall.

I was encouraged that today Warner briefly explained the part of the Russian attack that centered around Russian "bots", because this reporter states that some of his sources accuse the FBI of failing to see the "big picture" of this part of the attack on our election.

From this article, "If you need to ensure that white women in Pennsylvania don't vote or independents get pissed in Michigan so they stay home: that's voter suppression. You can figure what your target demographics and locations are from the voter rolls. Then you can use that to target your (Russian) bot." (my bold)

Cast aspersions against Hillary just days before the election, of course.

6. Possibly if he hadnt, he would have given the game away for the investigation.

Likley, he thought Clinton would win despite the 'new emails'. Or, he was baited and didn't see it until it was too late. I'm probably in the minority here, but I wanna give Comey the benefit of the doubt until I have court-level proof that I shouldnt. If he were really dirty, I think Obama would have known it and done something to mitigate the damage he was about to do.

Perhaps I have indeed been prejudging our friend the FBI director, although given some of their history of meddling in politics it was not altogether unfair.

Here's hoping Comey shows us all that he's no Mary Hoover.

8. So glad the BBC is reporting on this issue, since our dumb and lazy press is incapable of doing so.

The main question I have is where is the CIA? Why is the FBI leading this investigation? The CIA would have more resources and contacts, it would seem to be able to get to the bottom of this issue.

I still don't trust Comey as far as I can throw him. Just like Nunes, he appears to be deliberately tanking this "investigation." We will only get to the bottom of this if we get a special prosecutor.

Preet Bharara would probably get to the bottom of this saga. If Eliot Spitzer hadn't mucked his career up, he would have been a good pick too.
