I wonder if he has ever driven a car...or just been driven his whole life...?
I assume the office of POSTUS is "no drivers license required" - perfect...
(no offense to normal city dwellers - who might not drive)

(24,259 posts)ETA the story as to how I ran across it: Hubby and I were looking at some funny as heck pictures of Trump throwing a baseball, I commented that you can really get a good idea of his rather small hand size in it by comparing one to the baseball, my hubby asked how tall Trump is, thinking maybe he's shorter than he thought (he's taller then he thought), so I looked up his height and found the license.

(22,048 posts)It's probably for security reasons. Recently, Vice President Biden wanted to drive his vintage Corvette for his birthday and he had to get special permission from the Secret Service.

Regardless, Donald Trump shouldn't be allowed to do anything, you know, like if he were in prison...

(4,670 posts)I was surprised when asked if I wanted to keep using my old picture at renewal (in MA). I said no, since I've stopped coloring my hair and look different. Drumpf must look at his license and think he still looks like that. Delusional buffoon. Only the dull dead eyes are the same.

As for driving, you don't drive because you choose not to. However, the fact is, someone who cannot (or chooses to not) drive, will eventually have to rely on others to get around (public transportation doesn't go everywhere; Uber has serious problems and taxis are costly). I'm not being critical, just stating fact.
I think the OP is alluding to 45 as a person so coddled and removed from everyday life, that his capacity to comprehend the struggle of the average person beyond him.

Reminds me of "Arthur" the old 1981 movie with Dudly Moore where the millionaire is incompetent of normal day to day transactions. Not being able to drive because he is chauffeured everywhere, doesn't pay because it's always charged or a servant has the card. Incapable of having what we call a normal life. Unlike Chump, Arthur finds a way out.
Arthur he does, what he pleases
Followed his life, his masters toys
And deep in his heart, he's just, he's just a boy
Living his life one day at a time
He's showing himself a real good time
He's laughing about the way they wanting to be
Ah the idiot rich.

(13,576 posts)is when a butler or whoever brings him a KFC or whatever. He doesn't have a few bucks in his wallet. He doesn't have a wallet for crying out loud. He lives in a bubble. He doesn't see real people on the street. He's privileged.
