Did the WH national security officials really "find" the information given to Nunes?
Or did Nunes "give" the information to national security officials in the White House?
Is the White House attempting to get Nunes back on the Intelligence investigation?
Why should we believe them this time?
In my opinion, this was a scenario created to get Nunes and the WH out of the mess they created with their lies.
Now, they will probably refuse to let the two individuals comment on the matter, so that they can finally put this behind them?
Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive...

Russian Ambassador: "Can we count on Nunes to help cover this up?"
Flynn: "Absolutely, he's a simpleton."
Something like that.

(15,696 posts)Trump lied in his tweet about Obama tapping his phones. SOMEONE in the White House instructed his people to find something --anything-- to explain away Trump's tweet. It took over two weeks, but they found some innocent-looking intercepts, which they now needed to get out to the public. Enter Devin Nunes, useful idiot. Two intel flunkies handed him "proof" that Trump was sort of right about "wiretapping" and instructed him to run and "brief" Paul Ryan and Trump on WHAT HE, DEVIN NUNES, UNCOVERED!!!!!
A total waste of time, money, and oxygen.
Trump still has to prove that Obama "tapped his phone" because he (Obama) is a "bad or sick guy."
That Trump interview with Tucker Carlson shows how desperate he is to weasel out of his tweet lies.
