"If I have to get a lawyer, I will": Trump voter upset the border wall will put her house on Mexico

‘If I have to get a lawyer, I will’: Trump voter upset the border wall will put her house on Mexico side

http://www.rawstory.com/2017/04/if-i-have-to-get-a-lawyer-i-will-trump-voter-upset-his-border-wall-will-put-her-house-on-mexico-side/

As part of a CNN special report on the impact the wall between the U.S. and Mexico will have on border dwellers in the state that went overwhelmingly for President Donald Trump, the network found there is already an extensive history of government lawsuits filed to take property from homeowners. With Trump’s wall planned for the entire border, some of his supporters are now saying they will fight his administration in the courts.

According to one family who had their farm cut in half — part of it in the U.S., part of it in Mexico — they are still stunned that government was able to take their property 10 years ago.

“I was very angry, I just kept saying, how can they do that? How is that possible in the United States that they can do this?” D’Ann Loop of Brownsville recalled. “They put up a fence in front of our land and then keep us in here — lock us in. I didn’t understand. I was very — I was floored and flabbergasted.”

According to Loop, all of their property is now on the Mexico side after losing in court.

.....who now realize that what they have brought on makes their lives more miserable.

I saw the woman who organized former coal miners and their widows in West Virginia to receive insurance for life as part of the ACA, who also organized for Trump. Now, she's afraid everyone will lose that benefit. They deserve it. I have no sympathy for morons.

I saw a story where a woman said that the ACA saved her life because of a pre-existing condition. she vote for Trump, now she's frightened. I'm sorry, still no sympathy.

A program started by HUD saved a couple's house in Arizona. Now, that subsidy will disappear in the new Trump budget.

They, and many more, voted to fuck themselves, and now they need the Democrats, like me, to save their asses. We'll do it, because that's what we do, but don't think for a minute I have sympathy.

I've written about my sister and brother-in-law's "all in for Trump" nonsense on DU a few times.

They just don't get it. My brother-in-law, specifically, said "I don't care what he does as long as it doesn't affect me personally."

I gave up trying to tell him that he's going to do things that will affect him personally.

I told him "I have three words that explain my feelings about Trump completely, so that you and I will never have the need to discuss him again. The three words are "fuck your boy." So good luck to you."

He told me that Trump will be the greatest President of all time, and that I read too much time reading fake news.

My sister has Fox News on her TV from sunup till sundown.

Print some stuff from media matters showing how Fox News lies. And tell her to change to ESPN - the two channels have equal news value.

but these people are Trump supporters, knew what would probably happen (a wall would be built) and NOW they are upset about their land and property?

Go get a lawyer - you'll lose. Next time, vote your political interests-

Good luck finding a new home.

They loved voting for Trump. They were excited about all the ways that Trump would hurt other people. Now they're scared because they are going to get hurt too.

I have no sympathy for the consequences.

Call it frog & scorpion, call it lay down with dogs and get up with fleas, call it what you will.

The only difference between what I see right now and what I saw in the primaries is that I didn't expect Trump to dial it back at all, but he has ramped it up a little higher than I expected, and it will only get worse. I thought that he would get away with as much as he possibly could, and that some point, our system of checks and balances would kick in.

Unfortunately, that system of checks and balances includes a Republican-controlled House and Senate and guys like Devin Nunes.

...I don't even want to imagine how much damage they can do between now and then.

Hopefully enough of the red hats will be feeling the kind of pain that lets them know Republicans in charge may not be the best option for them, that the swamp was not "drained," and that every Trump campaign promise was a lie.
