They fixed this election. A coordinated effort was implemented to undermine our republic.
Don't let them frame it any other way. No other way is the truth.
This was not an election. This is a coup.
The KGOPB has abdicated its sacred responsibility to the Constitution of the United States of America. WHY doesn't really matter...THAT they've done it, DOES matter.
Do not let them gaslight you.
This is not normal. We will NOT be "waiting until 2018" or "waiting until 2020" for the remedy either.

(35,077 posts)This government is illegitimate; Trump's White House, McConnell's Senate, and Ryan's House are all mockeries of the institutions as described in the US Constitution and the idea that they reflect the collective will of the people is laughable.
We need to start saying that, we need Democrats in the government to reflect that assessment, and we need to begin acting accordingly.

(23,955 posts)back in the '90s, most of America pretty much assumed the cold war was over and we won. Game Over, right?
Putin didn't accept that and continued working the system until he gained great power and then began exercising his influence globally, even to the point of tipping elections in the USA into the hands of grafters, lunatics and buffoons. Game Over, right?
well, how about this idea instead: GAME NOT OVER
not yet, anyway. we're at a huge disadvantage, but so was Putin in the '90s. he didn't give up so fast. why should we? how about we give up when we stop breathing and not before?

(11,738 posts)Who is saying that we need to wait until 2018 or 2020? I have heard people say that we need to take back the legislature and discussing who would be a challenger for Trump if he lasts until 2020. I haven't really seen anyone saying that we should do nothing except wait until elections.
We should definitely be ramping up to retake Congress and get Trump out of office if he is still around in 2020, but we should be doing everything we can right now to stop the Republican agenda and Trump from damaging the country anymore than he has already. That includes filibustering Gorsuch and fighting against any other crazy law or appointee that Trump proposes. It means keeping pressure on the FBI, Congress, and DOJ to continue their investigations. It means doing anything and everything to thwart Trump and his allies.

(1,168 posts)Caliman73. In particular your most brilliant idea re: filibustering Gorsuch for USSC.
Outstanding post.
