UNC coach Roy Williams - Taking the team to the White House?

North Carolina beat Gonzaga to win the basketball national championship last night.

I just heard him on the Dan Patrick radio show.
He said a writer asked him about going to the White House on Friday but he's too superstitious to comment then. The same writer asked him last night and he said they hadn't even talked about it yet. He did say "Let me think on it" at the post game press conference.

Here's what he said to Dan Patrick (exact quote)

"Well we haven't talked about it and when we won in 2005 we weren't even invited so let's see if we're invited. I do have a lot of respect for the office of the President that's for sure. "








He said this in March
“It used to be much more so than I think it is now. Now everybody’s has got social media, and we don’t need “The New York Times” to find out what in the dickens is going on in the country. You know, our president tweets out more bull(expletive) than anybody I’ve ever seen. We’ve got social media."
