Speaking of Gorsuch, what does Trump have on McConnell?

Gorsuch is about as bad as they come...but why is McConnell so hell-bent on putting him on the Supreme Court? There are a LOT of judges as bad as Gorsuch, or worse than him, who are more prominent than he is.

And as for why McConnell is hell-bent on confirming him? Because the Republicans need a win. Badly. Getting stuffed by the Democrats again is something they can't afford (and since there is no public uprising against the Gorsuch nomination, there is no reason for the Republicans to do anything other than confirm him even if it means going nuclear.)

So far this administration has been one epic fail after another, so they have to show some kind of success at something, no matter what it takes. If Gorsuch isn't confirmed they'll find someone else who's as bad or worse, and there are plenty of those. One thing we can be sure of is that if Gorsuch is rejected, they would not pick a "compromise" candidate who is less conservative.

Donnie wouldn't have even nominated him without being told to by his russian handler.

You know that has to be true.

There are in fact many judges who are a whole lot worse than Gorsuch, which is pretty disheartening when you think about it. Most of the real nutballs are in the state court systems and not the federal bench, but there's nothing stopping them from picking one of them. Did they pick Gorsuch because he has solid professional credentials, is good-looking and has a pleasant demeanor, thinking those qualities would make the Dems ignore or at least worry less about his very rigid judicial philosophy? I recall that the two runners-up on Trump's list seemed even farther out of the mainstream.

that Senator Schumer might have second thoughts on forcing the pukes to use the nuke option because if another vacancy comes in the next 3 years with the nuke option now standard procedure there will be no recourse for a Democratic Senate (future). You know, save your best ammo for the big battle. We shall see.

Most of the serious evildoers are a lot older than Gorsuch is. If he retires at the age of 80, he will have 30 years to freeze truck drivers and throw children in jail for burping in gym class.

to Impeach Trump or anyone connected to treason. McConnell has always been power hungry and given a chance,he will try to do a McCarthy type purge of Democrats.

I think McConnell wants a piece of that action and his wife would parcel the billions out. Lots of gravy and favors potentially. But this is just a guess.
