He was unmasked for me way back in the early Obama days. Listening to his show then it was clear he was pushing the right wing line on Obama care. He pretended to support it but conveniently knew very few actual details of the plan. I even called in once and fought with him over repeatedly pushing right wing talking points about the bill with no basis in reality.

Realized pretty quickly he had zero interest in the truth . As the next day he was right back to repeating the nonsense despite agreeing the day before what he was shoveling was not true.

I used to listen but refuse to do so now because of his connections to RT and how on the rare occasion since the orange one has taken office, he leads his show with some off the wall nonsense instead of Russian influence that was the lead everywhere else that day.

There just are NOT a lot of options for progressive radio/media and I think his decision to go on RT was purely a pragmatic survival one.

Perhaps those who listen to him now can weigh in.

Thom was paid by RT...
Thom had Bernie on his show for years every week and gave him the platform on which to make his name.
We know that Russia stoked fires between Bernie and Hillary.

Thom was also selling a book about a crash coming in 2016....that never happened but...

Originally listened for Franken. Found Winsted and Maddow, Seder and Garafalo and Maron, Malloy, and of course Rhodes (found out about DU from her message board). Voices of reason that got me through the Bush years. Then the local station moved to WCPT and Air America eventually folded and I got to hear Miller, Malloy, Hartman, and Schultz. Of all the voices listed, Ed always seemed the least progressive to me. He seemed very populist when it came to the rural union man, but moderate to conservative on most other things. I stopped listening regularly to any radio/tv several years ago. I am curious however, did Ed become anti-union? If so, then I agree he was always in it for the money as an entertainment job.

I am tuning out RT considering all that has come to light since it is a global multi-lingual television news network based in Moscow and funded by the Russian government. On the left and right they are trying to bring America down Imo
