Trump Organization Settles Lawsuit With Chef Jos Andrs

The Trump Organization has settled a legal battle with the chef José Andrés that had stretched on for two years. The lawsuit concerned a restaurant deal that Andrés pulled out of after Trump made comments disparaging Mexicans.

Andrés' restaurant was to be in the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., which operates inside the historic Old Post Office. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, and both parties declined comment beyond a joint statement from the Trump Organization and Andrés' restaurant group, Think Food Group ...

He also develops GREAT restaurants accessible to ordinary people.

There was a contract to open a restaurant at Trump's hotel. The restaurateur then pulled out because he didn't like Trump's bigoted comments about Mexicans. I don't think a court would be likely to accept that as a defense to Trump's breach-of-contract action against the restaurateur. Caveat: I know almost nothing about the details of the case. This is just a SWAG based on what I remember from Contracts class.
