It didn't take him very long, after he moved into the White House, to test his power. His first foray into Commander-in-Chief duties was to send a commando team of Seals and others into Yemen and they were ambushed. One brave Seal was killed in the action, and they had to destroy one expensive aircraft, and leave it behind, in the exit.
His second mission was to send out some random bombers to Mosul, just to let them know we were there, and a reported 200 civilians were killed, including beautiful young babies.
This was his third mission. The plans had been on the table for some time to bomb Syria. Then they had seen some video on TV that said Syria had "gassed" some of their own citizens and it was good timing more than anything.
It was taking advantage of an opportunity. They didn't need more evidence. They would agree to tell the Russians ahead of the mission, so the Russians could move their troops and equipment, in an agreement they had with Putin. Putin was angry and said he would no longer agree to such an agreement and let it be known that there would be no advance notice given when the Russian jets were going on a mission.
The pattern started to come into focus. Each military mission became larger and larger. If that pattern continues, then what's next?

(40,212 posts)a failure to think things through and take into account the possibility of the mission not going as planned. These military adventures demonstrate a dangerous impulsiveness.

(17,984 posts)It's an escalation. It's sheer madness that drives him forward to larger military operations. He must be stopped, but I doubt congress will lift a finger.
