2018 Colorado Governors and 2020 Colorado US Senate Race.

Democratic candidates for the 2018 Colorado Governors Race is US Representative Ed Perlmutter-D, former State Treasurer Cary Kennedy., and former State Senator Mike Johnston. US Representative Jared Polis is also considering the 2018 Colorado Governors Race.
Perlmutter and Kennedy or Kennedy and Johnston should be the 2018 Colorado Governor or Lt Governor nominee. Polis should challenge US Senator Gardner in 2020.

Hickenlooper?
Perlmutter?(Assuming he does not win the Democratic nomination for Governor in 2018)
Polis?
Kennedy?(Assuming she does not win the Democratic nomination for Governor in 2018)
Markey?(How would she do against Gardner statewide in 2020? FYI Gardner defeated Markey in the 2010 US House Race in CO-4, the 2nd most Republican district in Colorado)
DeGette?(Is she willing to throw her hat in the ring after 24 years serving in the US House?)

I'm leaning toward Hickenlooper (assuming he doesn't die from drinking contaminated water from the Animas ). Perlmutter has a good record of defeating republicans. I'm between these two.

Look, while I don't think Polis is a bad politician, I really hate the charter schools he created. One of my colleagues at the community college, winner of a prestigious award for teaching in Mathematics, lasted two months at New America School. My wife lasted two years there, but it drove her to depression. NAS ranks as the worst school in the state.

The charter school issue doesn't have as much to do with his current politics. I get that. So maybe I'm being biased against him for the wrong reason. It has just left a bad taste in my mouth.

interested in a Presidential run against Trump. Hickenlooper is more of an executive than a legislature.
Perlmutter is going to be the next Governor of Colorado.
That leaves Kennedy,Markey,DeGette,Polis,or whoever suceeds Perlmutter in the CO-7 US House seat.
