Who do you think you are talking to... Muslims?

You kill a bunch of people prior to killing yourself and everyone will just remember you as some evil asshole that killed a bunch of people. Everything good you every did in your life would be negated by the murders at the end.

Perhaps (probably) I'm overly optimistic about our membership standards.

whether its a familycide, or killing your ex at her workplace, or shooting your co-workers, or a group of random strangers, inflicting pain is the key to the motivation: terror through revenge, leading to infamy.

just think of the mass shooters you know the names of, versus their victims.

Adam Lanza will go down as one of the most infamous mass shooters in American History while almost nobody knows the names of his victims.

1-They're just plain crazy and their own reasons probably wouldn't even make sense to us. Examples include the aurora CO movie shooter.

2-They're just plain evil and simply want to inflict as much pain and suffering as possible on others. Adam Lanza would probably fit in here. Also includes serial killers like Ted Bundy and the like.

3-They're doing it for political reasons, or to make a statement. Examples might include the Timothy McVhey, the Boston Bombers, and the Santa Barbara shooters.

4-They're depressed and suicidal, but they blame everyone else for their problems. Simply killing themselves would be 'letting everyone off too easy'. Do they wanna be some loser who committed suicide, or gain a little infamy on their way out? Examples include the Columbine shooters, Eliot Rodgers, that Korean guy who shot up the university, etc.
