What is the fuss? Women's rights are human rights... once and for all.

"Women's Rights Are Human Rights" is a term used in the women's rights movement and is the name of a speech given by Hillary Rodham Clinton, at the time the First Lady of the United States, on September 5, 1995, at the United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing.

.............................................

I would like to see one Democrat stand up and tell me this is wrong. Our right to speak freely and our right to be heard. Our Right, Our Bodies and Our Voice. Sing it sisters.

We are not wedge issues, we are giving feeling human beings that birthed you and loved you and raised you.

Hell we birthed this entire Nation!

We women are the revolution, do not ever forget that.

be pro choice, and say what needs to be said. Don't be chickenshit because it will make right-wingers mad. Especially when it should make perfect sense to a lot of people, especially fiscal conservatives.

Safe, free, and easily available abortions save us a shit ton of money! If some young woman, even underage finds herself in trouble, has nothing going for her, wants nothing to do with the guy that got her pregnant, fix it! Get rid of it! That's right! "It"! And yes for free for the girl. Paid for by us taxpayer but leaving us way in the black. Saving us in many cases a fortune in social services and medical expenses, for what might after several months, eventually become someones unwanted child.

Make it easy on the girls and we prevent almost all late term abortions.

Plus we also know that wealthy people with connections have these things happen to them (their daughters), and what happens? They get it taken care of as they always have and will continue to do.

Hey sweetie...

most of you guys have our back and we damn well know that. We are not a piece of the pie, not a wedge you can cut out and push aside and save for a later day. We are what makes that pie complete.

Hill said we are stronger together. She was right.

They think that their personal morality should rule everyone, even as they freak about about "Sharia Law". The believe that their views about abortion and such should be everyone's views. They don't get it that sex education and birth control are genuinely positive things, because they believe that ignorance is good, and that if a woman gets pregnant she's the only one at fault.

Pro choice is the true pro life stance.

http://nymag.com/thecut/2017/04/bernie-sanders-and-tom-perez-must-not-abandon-womens-rights.html

The problem is that Sanders’s vision — and the vision of Perez and the DNC — as they laid it out this week, looked less like a radical transformation of the Democratic Party and more like a return to mistakes the party has made in the past. These mistakes have nothing to do with economic equality, and everything to do with a willingness to sacrifice the rights of much of the party’s base.

(snip)

The deprioritization of reproductive rights was part of the strategy that helped Rahm Emanuel, chair of the DCCC, win the House for Democrats in 2006. But Ilyse Hogue, head of NARAL Pro-Choice America, argues that we should evaluate that strategy now with an understanding of its longer-term implications: “It did not result in more progressive legislation or in a durable governing coalition,” she says. “It depressed the base and predicated the rise of the Tea Party.”

(snip)

“Open your eyes to where the resistance is really coming from,” Hogue urged on Thursday. “There are literally millions of women who have been pouring calls into Senate offices, House offices, going to town halls, filing to run for office; we are literally three months out from the largest protest in U.S. history that was overwhelmingly women, in the name of women; that’s where the resistance is. This is the Democratic party base. So why is the place to start negotiating the place that pulls the heart out of the resistance?”

We women have to put a stop to this new attempt to sacrifice our rights and interests once again in a futile attempt to win over white male Republicans.
