A New Hampshire state Rep. Josh Moore (R), who describes himself as a pro-family conservative, made an alarming comment on Facebook regarding the nipples of breastfeeding mothers if a law banning women exposing breasts in public did not pass. The comment was made in a squabble over proposed legislation that would make it a crime for women to expose their nipples in public. Currently in New Hampshire, both men and women are free to go topless, reports Slate. A bill sponsored solely by Republican men would change that, if it becomes law.
Namely, Moore took to Facebook to argue that if women who want to breastfeed their children in public are allowed to expose their nipples, then I am also allowed to grab their nipples and play around with them. When asked why he would perceive an otherwise normal and accepted practice of breastfeeding as alarming and offensive, Moore told media outlets that its not about breastfeeding as an activity, its about the principle.
You know, why should I, or any other citizen of this great country, be forced to watch babies feeding in public? And when I say that, I emphasize that its not about the feeding itself, but the manner in which it is done. Breastfeeding in general doesnt bother me at all, I consider it quite normal. However, breastfeeding in public infuriates me, because it means women have to bear their chest and nipples to do it, and that causes a distraction and sets a bad example for people, and especially, small children. We cant have that, we just cant, the New Hampshire Rep. said.

"On 30 December 2015, New Hampshire state representative Amanda Bouldin objected to a bill that would allow cities to outlaw women from showing their nipples, except for when they are breastfeeding. Bouldins colleague Josh Moore responded to her comment, saying that women who were inclined to expose their breasts in public should know that men will be inclined to stare and grab at their breasts:

Oh, and Joshie? You're "forced" to watch us feed our babies in public because your bunch has always been too cheap to pay for Mothers & Children's Rooms, something that can be seen in other parts of the developed world. No disrespect, but your nipple would be the last one I would want to see, another male colleague added.
By Laura Bassett
A debate over public nudity in the New Hampshire State House took a dark turn on Tuesday when male lawmakers made disturbing comments about breasts toward their female colleague on Facebook.
<SNIP>
The bill already does exempt breastfeeding mothers an oversight Bouldin acknowledged Wednesday in an email to The Huffington Post. But her comment on Facebook prompted Moore and another one of her male colleagues to snap back at her.
If its a womans natural inclination to pull her nipple out in public and you support that, Moore wrote, than you should have no problem with a mans inclantion [sic] to stare at it and grab it. After all... Its ALL relative and natural, right?
<SNIP>
When Moore added that he obviously has more respect for a woman and her innocence and decency than people who support a womans right to show her nipple, Bouldin replied, My nipple isnt my innocence. By the time I had cause to whip it out in public (WHEN FEEDING MY CHILD) I was certainly no longer a virgin.
At this point, another one of Bouldins male colleagues weighed in. No disrespect, but your nipple would be the last one I would want to see, said State Rep. Al Baldasaro (R).

Moore must be a pervert if he feels compelled to watch.
A child or preteen might gawk for a bit, but Moore's rabid raving is more damaging to such a child in an instant than thousands of breast-feeding mothers ever could be.
Moore seems to think that baby formula was created 6006 years ago at the same time as Adam & Eve. He's probably anti-science too regarding the immunological benefits of breast feeding.

I remember him commenting on his time overseas, especially in India and China. He commented on the women breastfeeding in public, and how normal and natural it was. He was not averse to seeing babies breastfed in public.
Also, he was the second oldest child in a family of nine children. I don't doubt that he saw his mother breastfeeding his siblings. I have a feeling that he would laugh in disbelief over all this so-called controversy.

The GOP as a whole has nothing but contempt for women. What an offensive comment. If you can't see the beauty of a mother nursing her baby, and instead make something sexually offensive out of it, you are the one with the problem. I'm so sick of men like this. The GOP is crawling with them. Disgusting.

https://www.boston.com/news/local-news/2015/12/31/this-facebook-comment-about-indecent-exposure-brought-a-nh-lawmaker-backlash
A New Hampshire Representative is being criticized on Facebook after making a comment online insinuating that women should expect men to stare at and grab their breasts if they are exposed in public.
Rep. Josh Moore recently sponsored a Republican-proposed bill at the New Hampshire State House that would make it illegal for women to expose their breasts in public, WCVB reports. There is an exception in the bill for breastfeeding, but Rep. Amanda Bouldin said that the proposal is sexist for singling out women.
In response, Moore wrote on Facebook, If its a womans natural inclination to pull her nipple out in public and you support that, than you should have no problem with a mans inclantion (sic) to stare at it and grab it. After all Its ALL relative and natural, right?
