Should Trump be banned from giving eulogies?

George H.W. Bush is 92 and isn't doing well lately. Jimmy Carter is also 92.

Republicans are kind of a totalitarian bunch, if they want to do it they will, with or without the family's permission, and they could even leave the family out of the ceremony if they wanted to, this is a nasty world we live in, right now.

Republicans and right wingers don't know or care about decency.

have a huge national funeral for someone, (even if the family didn't want it, and refused to be there) He would go ahead and do so, especially if the the person was a soldier who died by mistake in a fouled up operation.

Of course, looking like a fool has never stopped him. So, who knows.

Funerals of ex-presidents are government functions not private affairs. As soon as a president leaves office he has to plan his funeral. Obama has already planned his. Whatever the plans are for Bush and Carter have long be planned.

"Presidents are typically involved in their own funeral planning, she noted early Wednesday, and "they can choose to have a simple funeral; they can choose to have a full honor funeral. It simply is up to the family.""
