I just read it....and good lord. I'm speechless.

(3,148 posts)It's one of the most frighting things I've read coming from Donny. I'm sure if he sees the bad press from the interview. He'll say the AP was lying and trying to smear them. So they'll be forced to release the tape to prove their assertions.

(65,488 posts)I mark it as a "generic 'teenager' modifier," and I tell them that I don't want to see "great" in their essays unless they are referring to the Great Lakes, Alexander the Great, The Great Gatsby, a Great Dane, or the greater part of something. I don't allow them to use it as filler.
But Trump uses "great" to describe everything he likes. It is rather pathetic, but I suspect he has Alzheimer's, and that is why a vocabulary that wasn't, er, great to begin with has shrunk to about 70 (mostly monosylabic) words now.

idiot is in the throes of dementia. He did not complete one complete thought. I am just trying to recover from reading his drivel and wonder has he had a lobotomy? How can the nutters that voted for him approve of this bloated, blithering, bovine? Have I made it clear that I am not a fan?

(1,397 posts)He may well have called Lockheed and Boeing but there's no way they started re-bidding the F-35. I recall reading somewhere tat Lockheed knocked a few hundred million off the total project cost, but that's pocket change and the did it to shut him up.

(13,526 posts)now, I would like to experience the effect of one...or more...'cause I just read this:
TRUMP: Well he said, you'll be the greatest president in the history of, but you know what, I'll take that also, but that you could be. But he said, will be the greatest president but I would also accept the other. In other words, if you do your job, but I accept that. Then I watched him interviewed and it was like he never even was here. It's incredible. I watched him interviewed a week later and it's like he was never in my office. And you can even say that.
speechless indeed
What in the world was that? He is far worse than Sarah Palin. Seriously, I do not think even Sarah Palin produced a word salad of that level. He makes her look like a genius. He can barely form a sentence. Statements like that add to the idea that something is mentally wrong with him.
Leghorn21
(13,526 posts)a few minutes ago I read the first three sentences of this out loud and just laughed my ass off. And I never laugh out loud, it's a rare event for me. And maybe I'm simply off the rails and have gone mad.
But a good belly laugh, however it manifests, is a fabulous change of pace in our current terrifying circumstances, so I'll take it...(and if you want to try it yourself, "what have you got to lose?!"

(13,526 posts)TRUMP: ...Look, I met with Congressman Cummings and I really liked him, a lot. Elijah Cummings (of Maryland). I really liked him a lot. And during the conversation because we have a very strong mutual feeling on drug prices. He came to see me, at my invitation, because I saw him talking about, he came to see me about drug prices because drug prices are ridiculous. And I am going to get them way, way, way down and he liked that. He said you will be the greatest president. He said you will be, in front of five, six people, he said you will be the greatest president in the history of this country.

(448 posts)TRUMP: I think $10 billion or less. And if I do a super-duper, higher, better, better security, everything else, maybe it goes a little bit more. But it's not going to be anywhere near (those) kind of numbers. And they're using those numbers; they're using the high numbers to make it sound impalatable (sic). And the fact it's going to cost much less money, just like the airplane I told you about, which I hope you can write about.
The rumors about him having Frontotemporal dementia seem very plausible after reading this (and other) transcripts.

With #45, it's always in the first-person singular, no matter how "great" the deep-dish chaos is.
He's untold light years behind President Obama. Forever.
