Regarding our differences here on DU

The differences between ourselves pale in the existence of the differences between ourselves and the Republican Party.

I really believe that the GOP has gone out of their way to aid and abet an unbalanced man, President Trump.

It is out duty as Democrats to call them out for their sick ideology, their disregard of human decency, and the pure "evil" that they advocate.

Never doubt that we Democrats are on the right side of history and decency. Benjamin Franklin said it best when he said: “We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately.”

Given the madman in the White House, those words from two hundred plus years ago are totally relevant today. We must stop fighting each other and join together to fight our "domestic enemies." If not, they will do whatever they want to do. Do you really believe they wouldn't hang us Democrats if they could?

the man who talks to chairs...."hang em high" is what the republikkkans who say to all who oppose or look different from the 'administrators of this country that are in power at this time.

We will fight, argue and disagree but when it counts we will come together. I think the last election galvanized the Democratic constituency if not the leadership, hopefully.

at the same time to use arguments, respectfully, as an exercise to finding new ideas and/or new common ground for democrats, independents, socialists and anyone else interested in what we can offer.
