Headline Huffington Post...

Obama to get
$400,000.00 to give speech organized by Cantor Fitzgerald.
THAT is why Dem canditates can no longer be "left of center". We need FDR democrats! Too many people are hurting. We can no longer have candidates that open their pockets to this crap... ever!
Why does one person ( who I won't mention as he's a lightening rod) get ripped because he said something wrong or stubbed his toe and this get a free pass?? (Link won't post... darn) 😖
Go ahead and flame me but wrong is wrong.

Please elucidate your objection. Thanks, in advance.

By the way, that website is now known as Huffpost and it's even crappier than before. I believe the new editor, Lydia Polgreen, will make it worse. In her letter to readers, she wrote, "What would it mean to create a news organization that saw itself not as writing about people who feel left out of the political, economic and social power arrangements, but for them?" I have no idea what that sentence even means but I expect that the website will become even less of a journalistic enterprise.

Those poor disenfranchised racists in *fky-over country that all the media are featuring and analyzing these days.

Maybe the Breitbart model.

*I meant fly-over country but I like my typo--it could be translated as "fuck you over country " which is kind of what happened.

Democratic presidents Carter, Clinton, Obama weren't from old money families. What is it with people thinking that if you are paid money for work you become a mindless slave to the owner of the means of production? Almost everybody has been paid for work. Oh, never mind, this is silly.

Especially when you consider that $400k is the cost of 2 Mar-a-lago memberships.....

So effectively Obama gave a speech and in return, got the equivalent of a Mar-Lago membership for himself & Mrs Obama.... bfd

He was paid in exchange for a service provided
& the 400k was not taxpayer's money ...

Unlike the $3.6 million of taxpayer $$$$ spent every time 45 runs off to spend the weekend
at mar-ma-lado ville

After putting up with this shit from the left and the right for 8 years, I hope Obama makes all the money that he can. The first black president shouldn't have to accept less than market value for his services to please white liberals.

I don't see you complaining about that one person buying a second home or profiting from writing a book.

Liars and grifters everywhere we look. It is so nutty that it would be funny if it weren't so terrifying. But you are outraged by President Obama being paid for giving a speech?
