Michelle Obama: I won't run for office.

http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/331001-michelle-obama-i-wont-run-for-office

Former first lady Michelle Obama on Thursday shut down calls to run for president, saying she would never run for political office.

Obama during a speech at the America Institute of Architecture convention in Orlando said she "wouldn't ask [her] children to do this again," according to a report by CNN.

The speech was Obama's first since leaving the White House, and cameras were not permitted during the event.

She said she would help the country as a private citizen rather than run for office, and would continue to focus on work for young girls and women facing challenges with education, healthcare, violence and income inequality.

First Lady Michelle, work behind the scenes you probably get more done. You have done your service for 8 years.

I believe she will be quite happy as a somewhat private citizen again. I always got the feeling this was a sacrifice they were willing to make and now they are done and ready to reclaim their lives.

I do not blame either of them. I am grateful they worked for us as long as they did and also that they will continue doing good the rest of their days.
