Please.Just.Stop

Let’s face it. There are a million things that are pissing all of us off about this farce of a presidency.

But the one that’s really stuck in my craw of late is seeing, hearing, or reading any journalist, pundit, or political commentator taking this asshole seriously, or treating his inane statements as though they were spoken by someone who knows what the fuck he’s talking about.

One of the first things I saw this morning was this headline: “Jaws Drop As Trump Admits That He Is Not Reading The Executive Orders He Is Signing”. Is there a person in the country with a functioning brain who actually believed he WAS reading them? Was this really news to anyone?

Come on, people – seriously. It’s bad enough this jerk is in the White House – can we at least drop the pretence that he is capable of doing anything that a responsible adult would do as POTUS, or that he is even willing to do anything that requires being away from the links, the TV, or his Twitter account? The man wants his daily briefings delivered with a box of Crayolas, so he can at least colour the graphics while he pretends to be listening.

I just heard Don Lemon (CNN) ask Congressman Krishnamorthi (D), on the topic of Trump’s statement today on North Korea, “Do you think there’s a strategy behind the president’s remarks?” Don, puleeeze! The only “strategy” this idiot knows – or is even remotely interested in – is coming up with ways to distract the public (and the media) from the fact that he and his cohorts are being investigated for possible collusion with Russia in order to put him in the Oval Office.

You’re talking about a man who was most interested in describing the chocolate cake he had for desert while we were bombing Syria – and while he was telling his guest, Chinese President Xi Jinping, that he’d just bombed Iraq. And you honestly think there is a “strategy behind his remarks’? Unless it involves the “most beautiful strawberry tart you’ve ever tasted – I mean that”, spoken while he’s allegedly bombing Atlantis, the Chump-in-Chief is bereft of any strategy one would recognize as such.

There are other oft-posed questions that fall into the fingernails-on-the-blackboard category.

“What do you think the president is thinking about this situation?” Earth to BobbleHeads: the only thing this “president” thinks about is his own ego. He’s still smarting from the fact that his inauguration crowd was smaller than Obama’s (read: Trump’s penis is smaller than Obama’s). Donald’s biggest fear is that his (hopefully) short tenure in office will be remembered by the phrase ”Speak loudly – but carry a small dick.”

“What do you believe the president’s plans are here?” Oh, FFS! His plans are the same plans he’s always conjuring up – how to get more taxpayers’ money into his own pockets. Entertain foreign leaders at Mar a Lago instead of the WH and charge the taxpayers for it – ca’ching! Rent space in Trump Towers to secret service there to protect Melania and Barron and charge it to the taxpayers – ca’ching!

Can’t we all just face up to the facts? This so-called “president” doesn’t think about anyone but himself, doesn’t have any strategy for anything, and doesn’t have any plans beyond enriching himself and pretending that he’s not Putin’s bitch.

There is nothing in Trump's statements or actions that are worthy of serious discussion - unless the discussion is about exactly how unworthy of discussion this "president's" remarks truly are.

We all KNOW the truth – can’t we just be honest about it and go from there?

Love this statement: ”Speak loudly – but carry a small dick.” That line explains Trump to a T.

and discussing Trump in their grown-up voices, I feel giddy and fear I'll start cackling and never stop. Everything should look like cubist paintings, noses on elbows and asses on heads, in garish primary colors, forever.

was all so far off the mark. It took a nation's shitty so-called-news agencies to polish this turd. it is just simply the case that you can fool some of the people all of the time. And Trump has fooled himself 100 percent of the time.

He's a traitor: and so are the members of the current party in power who refuse to investigate.

Beautifully written! Love your posts. Really nice to be able to have an occasional giggle while enduring the nightmare of having this horse shit idiot as president.
